Its ok if it flares up

Hey Everyone,

Here's another GK tip! Early in my career I use to throw away images that had lens flare. This is when an outside source of light enters directing into the camera lens hitting your film or digital sensor causing star-like shapes that lower the overall contrast of your images. But now I go out looking for anything that can give me these unpredictable results. Most of the time I use the sun to produce flare but on multiple occasions I've relied on off-camera flashes to produce similar effects. Go out experiment, you might like what you see!
